This paper investigates the origins, philosophy, and enduring legacy of nonviolent protest rooted in the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Analyzing historical movements such as Satyagraha, the Salt March, and Quit India, it explores the core principles of Gandhi’s approach—truth (Satya) and nonviolence (Ahimsa)—as revolutionary tools for social and political change. The study also examines the impact of Gandhian nonviolence on global civil rights campaigns , demonstrating its significance in both theory and practice for the oppressed and marginalized. |
